FinePix REAL 3D W1 is the world’s first 3D digital camera features FinePix REAL 3D Technology, two Fujinon lenses and two CCDs to capture 3D images. Each lens taking the shot from a different angle. The two images are then processed by the RP (Real Photo) Processor 3D – a newly developed processor that evaluates all photographic factors from focus and brightness to color tonality, and then merges the left and right images in a single 3D image. The camera also features a 3D LCD Monitor System showing 3D images with no goggles required.

USAToday reviews the Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W1 and writes;
“I can’t recommend the W1 for most users in its current iteration. But given the promise of 3D and Fuji’s head start, I’m hoping they give it another shot..”

TechRadar reviews the Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W1 and writes;
“The 3D images the camera captures are incredibly impressive, but you have to get your viewing angle correct to take full advantage.”

PhotoReview.au reviews the Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W1 and writes;
“resolution held up well throughout the camera’s ISO range, where we found a gradual, but steady, decline from ISO 100 to the highest setting of ISO 1600.”
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars
CNET.uk reviews the Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W1 and writes;
“We can’t say how good the separate viewer is because Fujifilm didn’t have one to send to us, but, judging by the images on the FinePix Real 3D W1’s screen, when the 3D mode works, it works well. But the 3D effect is elusive, the camera can be awkward to handle, and the overall cost could soon start rising, thanks to the expensive extras “
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
PhotographyBlog reviews the Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W1 and writes;
“3D W1 produced 2D images of above average quality during the review period. The 10 megapixel sensor produces noise-free images at ISO 100, but there’s some limited noise starting to appear at ISO 200. ISO 400 exhibits fairly visible noise and loss of fine detail but is still very usable, while ISO 800 and 1600 get progressively noisier. “

T3 reviews the Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W1 and writes;
“Buy it for a gimmick-mad sibling as a wedding present, maybe… but get a proper compact for yourself “

Akihabara reviews the Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W1 [also here] and writes;
“Overall, though, this is a stunning first effort. It’s a little big and pricey, but you’ve got a whole new creative dimension to play with – and playing around to get the most eye-popping results is utterly addictive.”

CNET.de reviews the Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W1 and writes;
“Applause for Fujifilm – the Japanese manufacturer, with its daring W1 is a step in absolutely new territory: 3D photography for private users. On the three-dimensional display of the camera to see the photos impressively closed out. This is the Finepix camera nor an expensive niche toy.”

Fujifilm F70EXR is a 10 megapixel point-and-shoot camera features 10x optical zoom (27 – 270mm on a 35mm camera), Face Detection 3.0, DUAL IS (Image Stabilization), and a 2.7-inch High Contrast & Wide Viewing Angle LCD. The camera measures 99.3 (W) x 58.9 (H) x 22.7 (D) mm / 3.9 (W) x 2.3 (H) x 0.9 (D) in. and weighs Approx. 180g / 6.3oz.

WDC reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“The Fuji FinePix F70EXR once again demonstrates that there is more to picture quality than just megapixels. With a high quality lens and an innovative high-tech sensor it out-performs almost anything else in its class, and is exceptionally good value for money.”
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars
TechTree reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“The camera also impresses with good details and natural colours. The EXR modes are also quite good, which allows you to just stick the camera in any one of them and not bother about the settings.
.”
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
GoodGearGuide reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“The EXR sensor, combined with its wide array of features that make advanced shooting techniques accessible, make the Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR a compelling option as both a pocket megazoom and as an everyday compact camera.”
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
DCRP reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“If you’re looking for a compact ultra zoom camera that excels at low light shooting, then the FinePix F70EXR should definitely fit the bill. It’s not the most feature-packed camera in its class, but it delivers better high ISO shots than almost anything else out there”
Rating: N/A
CNET reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“The photo quality at the camera’s full 10-megapixel resolution is good, but typical of a compact megazoom: slightly soft with a noticeable dip in quality at ISO 400. Things get grainier above that, but detail is still OK at ISO 800 for small prints. Fortunately, the 5-megapixel EXR mode shots are better.”
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
TrustedReviews reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR is a stunningly versatile camera, a pocket-sized superzoom that can take superb pictures in any lighting conditions, and is better in low light than anything else in its class. It is well made, handles well, is easy to use, and even offers some creative manual settings. In a market crowded with near-identical long-zoom compacts the F70 stands out as something a bit special.”
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars
DCR reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“Almost anyone who buys the F70EXR will like it – the price is right, it is amazingly flexible/tweakable, it produces superb images with bright colors, wide dynamic range, low noise levels, and it is easy to use. “
Rating: N/A
PCMag reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“Overall, The Fujiflim Finepix F70EXR is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a small camera with a powerful optical zoom lens and excellent image quality, even in poorer lighting conditions. That is, if you can live without HD video.”
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Steve’sDigicams reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“The newly designed 10-Megapixel Super CCD EXR imaging sensor captures excellent, high quality images, while the new image processor allows the camera to combine images on the fly to improve image quality.”
Rating: N/A
Pocket-Lint reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“The good: Sturdy construction, intuitive operation, broader focal range than usually found within a pocket snapshot allows for a wider variety of creative choices. The bad: No HD video nor HDMI port, just standard definition video. Verdict: Built to last pocket compact with a broader range of creative opportunities than usually found at this price point.”
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars
Cameras.uk reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“Overall, picture quality is outstanding. There are a number of features on this camera that you do not find elsewhere. They help to control noise and add detail to shots where there are areas of high contrast. I also like the quality of the LCD screen. Recommended.”
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars
Photoxels reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“Overall, excellent image quality and the various EXR and scene modes can prove useful in certain situations. The amount of choice can also prove confusing and intimidating to the Point-and-Shoot photographer but thankfully EXR AUTO mode works very well.”
Rating: N/A
BuyNShoot reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“if you’re a sharpness aficionado who demands crisp lines and fine detail, the F70 may not be your best choice. If, however, you enjoy nicely blended skin tones and an overall creaminess to your images then this camera may be one to consider.”
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
DigicamReview reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“Image quality is very good, with low noise, when compared to other digital cameras and the option to capture a wide dynamic range is a very welcome feature, however purple fringing seems to be an unwanted side effect of having so much zoom available. Battery life was lower than I had hoped for. Overall the camera works very well and produces good images in a number of situations, and is Highly Recommended!”
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars
PhotographyBlog reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“The Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR produces very good out-of-the-camera JPEG images with low noise and amazing dynamic range at a frankly astonishing price.”
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars
ePhotozine reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“It’s a mixed bag of performance from the FinePix F70 EXR giving lots of detail and lovely colours but then it’s let down with mid to high ISO levels…If you’re after a thin camera with plenty of pull in the zoom area, that also looks good then this is the camera for you. “
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
CNET.UK reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“Even if you were just getting a 10x wideangle superzoom, the compact Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR would be good, but, with its EXR sensor technology, it potentially has the upper hand over many of its rivals. Its fatal flaw, though, is its susceptibility to colour fringing, which seriously undermines all its other good work”
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
PhotoReview.au reviews the Fujifilm F70EXR and writes;
“Image noise became visible at ISO 800 in both flash shots and long exposures. Both pattern and colour noise were evident in shots taken at ISO 1600, although the effects of the noise were not quite as severe.”
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars
Simply one of the best “point and shoots” I’ve owned | Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
“I’ve been looking for a long time for a point and shoot that does everything I want it to do, and do it well. The F70EXR has met my desires. Is it a 100% perfect? No, but it’s superior to most of my other cameras in what it can do, other than it’s weak video….” by D.Hentzie
Mind Blowing | Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
“In summary – this thing is a low light wonder. It is also dead easy to use and super productive. I love the ultra bright LCD that gives decent previews too. What a mind blower: All the functionality of a high end film camera with extra tricks (that really do work) and no bulky stupid case full of enhancements to drag around with you…..” by Rhonda Roberts
Awesome camera with poor battery life | Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
“… I love this camera, but constantly needing to worry about the battery makes it a little more trouble than it should be, and why I’m giving it 3 instead of 5 stars i the review.” by L.Helin
